About this fish
A seahorse covered in small spines. It lives among rocks and seaweed in warm southern waters, and like other seahorses the male carries the eggs. It is a protected marine species in Korea.
Catching one for real
🌿 Protected species. In the game it is released the moment you catch it and only goes in your log. In real life it can't be caught without a permit, and if one bites by accident you must let it go at once.
It's protected, so you can't catch or keep it. If one comes up tangled in seaweed as you reel in on a weedy rocky shore, don't handle it; put it straight back in the water.
